Position Objectives & Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will represent Fiberdyne in a professional manner that results in repeat business and a positive customer experience. They will identify lead opportunities as well as potentials for upsells to achieve weekly, monthly, and annual sales quotas by successfully utilizing marketing strategies and tactics. Finally, the ideal candidate will use consumer research as well as comprehensive knowledge of how our solutions can meet and resolve any customer issues in order to provide the utmost in customer service.
The ideal candidate will regularly interact with customers to understand their needs and be able to recommend the right products and services by possessing in-depth product knowledge. They will be able to utilize industry software and technology to conduct demos and further enhance the customer experience.

Job Description
Fiber Optic Tech/Supervisor- Passive Optical Components
We are looking for a skilled individual to oversee and actively engage in the production of
passive fiber optic assemblies, including MPO cable assemblies, splitters/couplers, WDM,
CWDM and DWDM devices. Job requires the ability to assemble and test optical devices and
assemblies on our production floor.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise a team of approximately 4 fiber technicians
• Build product assemblies
• Test products for optical performance
• Read and interpret specifications to complete tests and determine the functionality and
optical performance of devices and assemblies
• Compile product test data
• Assist the sales team with technical support
Skills and Abilities:
• Working knowledge of Fiber Optic Test equipment and test parameters
• Ability to operate Fusion Splicers, Light Sources, Power Meters and Optical Spectrum
Analyzer
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent project management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent eye-hand coordination and the manual dexterity required to work with
small/delicate parts
Education:
Two-year technical degree preferred.
Experience:
Two plus years of experience as a fiber optic technician in an engineering or manufacturing
environment.

Job Description
PC Technician
Job Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the Computer Tech is to support our LED Digital Sign Technician in building and repairing LED Digital Signs and related components. This will involve installation, monitoring, maintenance, support and optimization of networking hardware, software and communication links for our clients.
Must be able to assist with the following:
• Assembling computers/controllers
• Installing software onto computers/controllers
• Configure networking hardware
• Field diagnoses and repair of digital electronics
• Assemble and install digital signage products, as needed
Must be able to perform the following duties:
• Provide technical assistance to our customers via telephone, email and on-site visits
• Some sites will require the ability to climb structures and work at heights
• Document problems and solutions
• Assist in installing structured low voltage LED panels and cabling products at customer sites
• Arrive on site as scheduled to perform the evaluation and repair in a professional and efficient manner that represents the employer as an industry leader
• Work the required hours and time to complete the assigned duties on time
• Travel primarily in a 5-hour radius around Utica, NY, but may include travel throughout the Northeast
Qualifications:
Must have the ability assist in the repair and diagnosing of digital electronic equipment. Must have good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task projects, duties, and schedules. Must be able to read and interpret documents and prints in various forms to accurately and efficiently perform the job. Must be flexible and able to adopt to an ever-changing schedule in order to satisfy customers expectations.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
Experience:
Minimum two years related computer hardware/software experience as a technician. Must show proficiency for learning the details and demonstrate a willingness to work well with our team.

Fiber Optic Technician
Job Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the Fiber Optic Technician is to assemble and test passive fiber optic subassemblies in our production environment.
This position is Monday-Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm, with overtime based on workload.
Must be able to perform the following duties, training will be provided:
• Fusion Splicing of optical fibers
• Routing of bare optical fiber (250um)
• Assemble modules made up of multiple passive optical components
• Test and inspect optical components and subassemblies
• Interpret Work Orders and Work Instructions
• Communicate and interact with team members
Must be proficient with the following, training will be provided:
• Mechanical dexterity, with the ability to route bare optical fiber
• Fusion Splicing of optical fibers
• Mechanical assembly of subassemblies containing passive optical components
• Operation of Fiber Optic Test Equipment; including Optical Spectrum Analyzers, Light Sources and Power Meters
• Proper optical fiber handling and connector hygiene techniques
• Use of Optical Connector Inspection Scope
Experience:
Prior work experience as a fiber technician is preferred however training will be provided. Must show proficiency for learning the details and demonstrate a willingness to work well with our team.
